After releasing a first album in 2013, he chose to settle in the United States, where he continues his career under the pseudonym Yoann FreeJay. Winner of the 3rd season of The Voice, Kendji Girac is certainly the one who has had the most success in his career after his coronation in the TF1 talent show. The musician quickly won over the public with his songs. His first album, released in September 2014, was a real hit, since it sold more than a million copies. Subsequently, Kendji Girac multiplied the successes, as well as the rewards. For her part, Lilian Renaud has had a more tumultuous journey. The winner of the 4th season of The Voice released two albums with mixed success in 2015 and 2016. He then made the decision to put his musical career on hold., in order to refocus on himself. He finally returned to the stage in 2019.
The Voice: the show’s former winners have not all found success
Like Kendji Girac, Slimane also met with great success after The Voice. The winner of the 5th season quickly established himself among the public, in particular thanks to his various artistic collaborations. His duet album with singer Vitaa is proof of this, given that it received critical and public acclaim in 2019. The two artists even organized a joint tour due to their success as a duo. Winner of season 7, Maëlle Pistoia was the first woman to win the show. Her debut album was well received by critics upon its release in 2019. Having subsequently taken a break, the singer returned to the forefront with a second album in 2023. For his part, Lisandro Cuxi, who won the sixth season of The Voice, mainly made headlines when he participated in the competition called Destination Eurovision in 2018. Unfortunately, he came only second and was unable to represent France at Eurovision that year.
