CINEMA – The five-star cast of Dune: Part Two was passing through Paris. The promotion of the new film by director Denis Villeneuve indeed hit a big blow this Monday, February 12 by offering a preview in France, organized at the Grand Rex in Paris.
Two weeks before the release of this sequel in cinemas in France, fans of Frank Herbert’s literary saga were able to discover this new film exclusively, but they also attended a particularly busy red carpet. It must be said that the casting of Dune 2 keeps all its promises.
Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, main characters of this second part of the adventures of Paul Atreides, were there for a particularly anticipated photo shoot on the red carpet (or rather orange, that’s fitting…).
The two stars took advantage of this opportunity to unveil two outfits particularly in keeping with the universe deployed on screen by Denis Villeneuve. Zendaya, with a sumptuous ensemble composed of two golden pieces which is reminiscent of the colors of spice, an essential element of the plot of Dune. As for Timothée Chalamet, he opted for a dark suit, enhanced by a metallic turtleneck, as you can see below.
The duo did not come alone during this special screening in France. The big villain who will be revealed in this second film, played by Austin Butler, was also there. Hollywood’s new darling, the actor recently seen in Elvis or the series Masters of the Air also took the opportunity to sign a few autographs for the French public.
Shooting in front of the Eiffel Tower
A few hours before this Parisian preview, the cast also gathered for a prestigious photo shoot in front of the Eiffel Tower. The opportunity to enjoy a large part of the cast of the new feature film from the director of Prisoners And First contact.
A sober photo for Denis Villeneuve, Stellan Skarsgård, Souheila Yacoub, Rebecca Fergusson, Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya and Austin Butler. Without forgetting the French actress Léa Seydoux, who plays the character of Margot Fenring – one of the famous members of the Bene Gesserit – in this second film.
Note the absence of Florence Pugh, Javier Bardem, Jason Momoa and Josh Brolin who will all be back or present for the premiere of the film, expected in theaters on February 28, 2024.
In this second film Dune, the character of Timothée Chalamet will unite with that of Zendaya and the people of the Fremen to avenge his family. But two choices will be offered to the young hero: choose love or the future of the world. A third (and final film helmed by Denis Villeneuve) has also been announced.
