The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17ITL6 (82H900YTFR) faces the competition
The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17ITL6 (82H900YTFR) is currently showing in promotion at Cdiscount and offers an attractive configuration/price ratio for its category where it is one of the cheapest and lightest to offer such a high-performance processor with USB-C and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity under secure Windows 11.
If this laptop does not completely meet your needs, we invite you to consult our inexpensive laptop and student laptop guides, there you will find other similar laptops which may constitute good alternatives to the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17ITL6 (82H900YTFR ).
Chassis, connections, screen of the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17ITL6 (82H900YTFR)
It has an elegant and discreet look with its Arctic Gray silver design that is relatively thin and light for a large format PC.
It runs on Windows 11S, a system focused on security by only authorizing the installation of applications from the Windows Store. If desired, it is possible to exit S mode for free to migrate to classic Windows 11, but you cannot then return to S mode.
This laptop offers very good connectivity with regard to its positioning since it is equivalent to that of (much) more expensive models with its USB-C, its Wi-Fi 6 ax and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless modules for connections and remote communications, its practical HDMI video output for easily connecting it to a TV or monitor for example, its Headphone/Microphone combo audio port but also its 2 USBs including 1 USB 3.0 (USB 2.0 compatible) guaranteeing transfers up to ’10 times faster than USB 2.0 when you plug in a USB 3.0 device.
The screen ensures above-average colorimetric accuracy without obviously reaching that provided by high-end IPS or OLED. As a bonus, the screen is anti-reflective, which makes it more readable in a bright environment (e.g. outdoors) than a shiny panel and less tiring for the eyes over a long period of time.
For the rest it adopts classic specifications with its 16:9 format suitable for videos and its definition of 1600×900. Inferior to Full HD, this is preferred by some with vision problems because it displays larger elements.
Performance, autonomy of the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17ITL6 (82H900YTFR)
The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17ITL6 (82H900YTFR) is a relatively thin and light 17-inch laptop designed for basic everyday use.
It is in fact driven by an entry-level Celeron Dual Core 6305 low-consumption Intel Tiger Lake processor in which the Intel UHD graphics module is located, associated with 4 GB of RAM.
We thus obtain very modest benefits for basic everyday use such as office automation and surfing the Internet, watching photos and videos or even light multitasking.
Keep in mind that this laptop PC shows its limits under processor-intensive software, which results in slowdowns.
Fortunately, the heart is advantageously supported on a daily basis by SSD storage which provides much better fluidity and responsiveness than a hard drive.
It must be said that an SSD is much faster than a hard drive but also consumes less energy, is quieter and much faster.
Thanks to the SSD we benefit from faster starts/stops and application launches than with a hard drive.
Here we find a 128 GB SSD for installing and storing light and/or few software/files, which is significantly less than what standard 500 GB hard drives offer.
But good news: this laptop PC is scalable. It offers a 2.5-inch slot to add a second SSD or hard drive if necessary.
But also a DDR4 slot to add a RAM strip in order to be more comfortable multitasking.
If you do not intend to open the PC, you can rely on an external storage unit. Favoring a USB-C/USB 3.0 device then represents an interesting option for obtaining fast transfers.
As for autonomy, expect around 7 hours of battery operation in light use, enough to interest some people looking for a large, comfortable student laptop that is relatively thin for its weight.
