This Saturday, February 10, the big gala evening is being held to elect the new Miss Alès at the exhibition center. Ten candidates are vying for the supreme title.
This promises to be, once again, the very big evening of the start of the year. This Saturday, February 10, in the heart of the Alès agglo exhibition center, ten candidates will parade in front of nearly 1,000 spectators from 9 p.m. to hope to become the new Miss Alès following Lysa Blanc-Nalle.
A record number of applications for a Miss today
For these ten young girls who will appear on the podium, it is the end of a great stage. Initially, the committee received twenty applications for the title this year. “It’s the first time we’ve received so many, it’s really nice!”rejoices Raphaële Navarro, deputy mayor of Alès in charge of the festivities, and Miss Languedoc 2000. A success which, in her eyes, proves a real change in the symbolism of the Misses: “We have been trying to show another side of the Misses for several years. Today, the Miss is not just a pretty woman. She has a passion, a job, values that she can put forward.”
In the presence of Miss France 2024
As a passionate woman and bearer of values, Raphaële Navarro easily gives as an example Eve Gilles, crowned Miss France 2024, who will be present in Alès for this evening. As always, this is her first public appearance in a Miss committee since her election. “Plus, this year, we will have two Misses featured!”, adds Raphaële Navarro. Because, and this adds pride for this Alesian branch, it will be Diane Leyre, Miss France 2022, who will host this entire gala evening.
On the program, the quality of the performance should be assured, with concerts and numerous surprise events to accompany the parades of the ten candidates. Four parades, in total, are planned during the evening with deliberately different attire each time: in street clothes, in evening wear (offered by the City), in swimsuits then, and this is something new, in wedding dress.
We will obviously have to wait until the end of the show to find out who will succeed Lysa Blanc-Nalle. To choose the lucky winner, the public present will be invited to vote. A jury, composed, among others, of Lysa Blanc-Nalle, Raphaële Navarro, Eve Gilles and representatives of the Miss France committee, will then have to decide between the first five in the ranking. “But it’s very rare that the jury does not follow the public’s opinion,” breathes Raphaële Navarro.
