Raphaël Glucksmann, head of the list of the PS and Place publique for the European elections next June, is in Clermont-Ferrand this Friday, February 9. Comfortable on the ground, in a popular neighborhood.
Going door to door to talk about politics and European elections is not an easy exercise. In a working-class neighborhood as well as in a rural environment. For several weeks, MEP Raphaël Glucksmann has taken his pilgrim’s staff to travel across France. This Friday, February 9 afternoon, he was in Croix-de-Neyrat, in Clermont-Ferrand.
Meet people to give strength to your ideas
“Before entering into the hectic pace of the campaign, I want to go everywhere, especially where the other candidates do not go, to talk about Europe. Even if it means people yelling. Their stories give substance to my convictions. With their stories, my ideas take on more strength. »

The population has the power to tax the ultra-rich
The MEP recognizes that the reception is sometimes complicated: “Many people are disgusted with politics. But, in fact, I’m not asking them to vote for me. Above all, I come to defend our European citizens’ initiative to tax the ultra-rich, which could see the light of day if it collects 1 million signatures. Immediately, they show more interest. So I come to tell them that they can act, that they have power. This contrasts with their feeling of powerlessness in the face of politics. »
We must create new relationships between parties and citizens. Do everything to avoid the disintegration of our democracy.
At the end of the day, the candidate hosted a public meeting at the People’s House.
