Camille finds an unexpected ally
Martin gives Camille a pair of boots to work at the wine estate. Raphaëlle teases him, she didn’t think he was so simple. A little later in the day, Diego meets Camille by chance at the estate. She is surprised to see him. Diego explains to him that he works at the estate during the holidays. Camille tells him that she hopes to be up to this new job to reassure her worried mother. She points out that Victor Brunet seems likeable unlike Philippine. Diego tells her that she shouldn’t worry, because Philippine has no more power than Brunet. He adds that she can always count on him if needed. A little later, Camille phones Maud and tells her that she met Diego. She adds that she has good taste and that he seems friendly. This announcement worries Maud who has a crush on Diego. Philippine surprises Camille on the phone. She sharply tells the young girl that personal phone calls must be made during breaks, whether you are busy or not. At the end of the day, Victor asks Camille if she is starting to get her bearings. She tells him that she is delighted to work at the estate. Victor encourages him not to give up.
Georges received a card from Vanessa
It’s Valentine’s Day. Preoccupied by the arrival of his baby, Georges forgot the lovers’ party. He desperately tries to find an available table in a restaurant, but without success. Nordine and Manon ask him what he has planned for a gift and Georges replies that he plans to give Melody flowers. Nordine and Manon express their disappointment at his lack of originality.
At the Spoon, Melody confides to Audrey that she finally bought Georges a gift. She receives a text message from Georges at the same time. He arranges to meet him at 7 p.m. on Quai de Tassigny. Georges takes Melody to a hotel room where a bottle of champagne and a bouquet of red roses await them. They then exchange gifts. They had the same idea, to give the other a red sweater. After sharing an intimate moment, Melody finds a card sent by Vanessa in Georges’ bag. Georges explains to the young woman that his ex – who he has already spoken to her about – sometimes sends her words of love and long declarations as if they were still together. He then tears up Vanessa’s card. Melody blames the blow.
Cécile is the daughter of Pascal Villard
The day before during his bachelor party, Gilles felt unwell. Marianne goes to Chloé to check on her brother to make sure he is doing well, and he is. However, his blood pressure is still a little low and he has mild tachycardia. Marianne then recommends that he rest. Chloé questions Gilles about what could have caused his discomfort. He replies that it was probably due to a mixture of stress and fatigue. Marianne thinks that this doesn’t explain everything and asks her brother if he is undergoing medical treatment at the moment. He says no. However, he and Cécile have chosen to take food supplements to have a good winter. Marianne suspects Cécile of poisoning Gilles and wants to take capsules to have them analyzed at the hospital. A little later, Cécile informs Chloé that she has made an appointment with the hairdresser to do tests for the wedding, but she hesitates to leave Gilles. Chloé replies that she can go to her meeting in complete peace of mind, because she will watch over him in his absence. Once Cécile leaves, Diego confides to Marianne and Chloé that he saw Cécile in the street with a man two days earlier and that they seemed very close. Marianne is dismayed.
At the police station, Diego tells Martin about the scene he witnessed between Cécile and a stranger. He identifies Pascal Villard in a photo. Martin explains to Chloé and Diego that this man is Cécile’s kidnapper and that he is actively wanted. He said they didn’t know if they were accomplices, but clearly they were. Chloé realizes that Cécile has been lying to them for weeks. She wonders if her mother wasn’t ultimately right. Chloé explains to Martin that Marianne suspects Cécile of having poisoned Gilles.
But everyone is on the wrong track. Not far from there, Pascal Villard asks Cécile if she has any news on her kidnapping. This is not the case. Cécile prefers to change the subject of conversation. Pascal Villard then alludes to marriage. He seems to be disappointed not to be invited to the ceremony. Cécile then notices that Pascal is wearing a luxury watch around his wrist, which surprises her, because she thought he was banned from banking. He claims he won this watch at poker. Cécile doesn’t know if she can believe it.
A little later, she finds Gilles at the Spoon. Sara interrupts them and asks Cécile to follow her to the police station. Martin and Roxanne’s partner put pressure on him to find Pascal Villard. Cécile learns that the latter tried to silence her ex-husband Christian Auffay, and that he threatened Gilles. She also discovers that he is suspected of having organized his own kidnapping. She is stunned. Martin asks her why she reacted like that and if she didn’t know that it was her lover who was behind all this. Cécile then reveals to Martin and Sara that Pascal Villard is not her lover, but her father!
