It is a tragic banal traffic accident which, for a year, has caused a lot of ink to flow. On February 10, 2023, it was not yet 7 p.m. when Pierre Palmade hurriedly left his house in Cély-en-Bière, in Seine-et-Marne. The comedian is tired. Having suffered from drug addiction problems for decades, he has just spent the last three days consuming all kinds of synthetic drugs. And its reserves are dry. One of his dealers must come by in the evening to supply him with cocaine and 3 MMC. Before his arrival, he rushes, with two orgy companions, to withdraw money from the ATM.
Suddenly, on the D372 departmental road, near Villiers-en-Bière, he lost control of his Peugeot 3008 and hit the vehicle coming in front. The shock is terrible. The passengers of the Renault Megane, a 38-year-old man, his 6-year-old son and his 27-year-old sister-in-law, were seriously injured. Six and a half months pregnant, the young woman lost her child, a little girl, after an emergency cesarean delivery.
Indicted for homicide and involuntary injuries
Pierre Palmade’s two passengers, who fled after the collision, were arrested a few days after the incident. One, a 33-year-old Moroccan unknown to the police, was arrested at the home of a woman who was lodging him in Clichy-la-Garenne (Hauts-de-Seine). The other, a 34-year-old Parisian, presented himself at the Melun police station in the company of his lawyer. At the end of their police custody for “failure to assist a person in danger”, the two men were presented to the investigating judge, who decided not to indict them, preferring to place them under the status of witness. assisted.
Pierre Palmade was transported to Melun hospital where he was questioned for 48 hours by investigators. In police custody, the artist admits to having consumed cocaine and synthetic drugs before getting behind the wheel. On March 14, 2023, he was indicted for homicide and involuntary injuries by a driver who used narcotics as a repeat offender.
Qualifications retained are subject to change
Last November, the investigating judge of the Melun judicial court in charge of the investigations informed the parties that the investigation had been completed. It is now up to the public prosecutor of Melun, Jean-Michel Bourlès, to request: the magistrate must decide whether to refer the comedian to court and on what grounds. A medical expert concluded that the baby carried by the pregnant passenger had died before birth and could therefore not be legally considered a human being. The qualifications retained are therefore likely to be modified to “unintentional injuries”.
Contacted by 20 minutes this week, Jean-Michel Bourlès indicates that “the prosecution’s requisitions have not yet been made” in this case. While awaiting this probable trial, Pierre Palmade, 55, has been placed under judicial supervision. He is required to continue his care and is prohibited from coming into contact with the victims, driving a vehicle, and leaving the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
Conviction of the artist’s two dealers
After the accident, another investigation was opened to identify the artist’s dealers from his phone. The police did not take long to find them and arrest them. One is a 31-year-old Chinese student, nicknamed “Max Chine”, who supplied Pierre Palmade mainly with 3MMC. The other, aged 22, is a former semi-professional footballer who calls himself “Winterfell” – a reference to the series Game Of Thrones – and who delivered top-quality cocaine to the comedian.
The first was sentenced last November by the Melun court to a one-year suspended sentence, and the second to one year in prison with continued detention. A third defendant, suspected of having been a simple deliveryman, was acquitted of this charge.

An investigation for “possession of child pornography images”
In addition to this case, investigations for possession of child pornography images were launched after a report was made to the police. A few days after the accident, a man told officials that he had a video showing Pierre Palmade viewing a child pornography video. The Paris public prosecutor’s office opened an investigation on February 18, 2023. The author of the report was interviewed at some length by investigators from the Minor Protection Brigade of the Paris judicial police, responsible for the investigation.
The Parisian home of Pierre Palmade and his house located in Cély-en-Bière were searched. Computer equipment was seized there. But according to BFM TV, no child pornography content or files were found on the comedian’s digital devices. No charges have been brought against him in this case at this stage. However, another suspect was indicted on February 25, 2023 for distribution and possession of child pornography images, and placed under judicial supervision.
